Johnny Depp looked very different as he headed to the airport in Paris following a costume fitting for a new movie.

The 59-year-old actor was spotted wearing a suede jacket and donning a new braided hairstyle. Depp is set to play King Louie XV in his first film since winning his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Depp, who was carrying a mocha briefcase, briefly waved to fans before being ushered into a chauffeur-driven car. He was wearing dark aviator glasses and had a brown scarf wrapped around the handle of his briefcase.

There is speculation that the actor has been offered a multi-million dollar deal to come back to The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as his beloved character, Captain Jack Sparrow.

Depp’s last appearance for the franchise was in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which was released in 2017.

A source allegedly told Poptopic that Depp had been in talks with Disney since his legal victory and that a possible return was on the cards to the tune of $300 million, the Daily Mail reported.

The source reportedly said that Disney had “reached out to the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked whether he would be interested in returning for another pirate film or two”.

But Depp insisted that he would not return to the franchise under any circumstances when he was questioned about it during the defamation trial.

“If Disney came to you with $300m dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film?” he was asked.

“That is true,” Depp responded.

A representative for the actor reportedly told E! News that the quoted offer and conversation were wholly untrue.

“This is made up,” they said.

Following a highly publicised trial that lasted six weeks, it was ruled that Depp had been defamed by Heard and thus he should receive $10 million in compensation and $5 million in punitive damages.
