Brother Liam Hemsworth revealed the Thor star paid off the family’s debt when his career took off.
Most people can only dream of being able to show their parents how much they appreciate their support.
But it seems Chris Hemsworth was quick to repay his mum and dad for helping him on his way to stardom.
In a sitdown with The Independent, younger brother Liam Hemsworth revealed the Thor actor paid off his parents’ debts when his career took off.
According to Liam, his brother called home one day and told his dad to look at his bank account.
“[My father] called my brother Chris back and said, ‘I don’t know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I’d be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared’,” he said.
“They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us, I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that.“
While Chris is the more established of the Hemsworth brothers, Liam is quickly gaining ground, thanks to the success of the Hunger Games franchise. He is currently starring opposite Kate Winslet in The Dressmaker.
