Ali revealed that he was supposed to have a race scene with Vin Diesel, but it got canceled after Walker’s sudden demise. The actor revealed that his co-star’s death prompted the filmmakers to alter the movie and include more tributes to the late star. He claimed that the reason why the race got canceled was because everyone in the cast was just going through all sorts of emotions and because the makers had to accommodate a lot of tributes.

Recalling the first day of the shoot in Abu Dhabi, Ali shared that it was the ‘most depressing day’ as it was the first shoot since Walker’s demise.

In the film, Ali essayed the role of Safar, an Emirati garage owner and friend of the computer hacktivist Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel).

For the unversed, Paul Walker died in a car crash in 2013. The cast and crew halted shoots for three months, during which the production team went back to the drawing board and decided to complete the film with Walker’s brothers standing in as his body double, to give his character a proper send-off.

On the work front, Ali will soon be seen in ‘Girls will be Girls,’ ‘Metro In Dino,’ and ‘Mirzapur 3’.
